Attendance and Family Services

Moses Lake School District’s Attendance and Family Services Department works directly with schools, students, and their families to break down barriers to school attendance. Washington state has a compulsory school attendance law, R.C.W. 28A.225, that requires school age students are in school, full time, every day unless there is a valid excuse to be absent. When a student misses school, for any reason, it can make it really hard to keep up academically.
