Frequently Asked Questions for Camp 5...

Q: Where will the 5th-grade students begin their day?
A: They will begin their day at the home elementary school, where they will have before school recess, eat breakfast and go to specials.
 
Q: What specials will my student have at his/her home elementary school?
A: The students will have Library, Music and Computer Lab at their home elementary schools.
 
Q: Where will my student have PE?
A: The students will have PE at Chief Moses Middle School (CMMS) in the new gym. It will be on a rotating schedule. Please see the Camp Five Specials schedule link on this page.
 
Q: Where will my student go after morning specials at their home elementary Schools?
A: The students will be transported by bus to Camp Five at CMMS after specials every morning.
 
Q: What if my student is late getting to school?
A: If your student arrives at school before 10:50 on Monday and 9:45 on Tuesday-Friday, you will need to check them in at the office of their home elementary School. If your student arrives at school after those times, you will need to check them in at the office at CMMS.
 
Q: What if I need to check my student out during the day?
A: You have to check your student out from the office of each building as listed below
 
10:00-10:50 Monday and 9:00-9:45 Tuesday-Friday - Check in and out in the office of their home elementary school.
10:50-3:10 on Monday and 9:45-3:10 Tuesday-Friday - Check in and out in the office at Chief Moses Middle School.
 
You can not check your student out from CMMS later than 3:10. After 3:10, you will have to check them out from the office of their home elementary school.
 
Q: What if I need to reach my child or drop something off for my child during the day?
A: You have to call the office to leave a message for the teacher and drop items off at the office of each building as listed below
 
10:00-10:50 on Monday and 9:00-9:45 Tuesday-Friday - Call or drop things off at the office of their home elementary school.
10:50-3:10 on Monday and 9:45-3:10 Tuesday-Friday - Call or drop things off at the office at Chief Moses Middle School.
3:10-3:30 every day of the week - Call or drop things off at the office of the home elementary school.
 
Q: Where will my student eat lunch?
A:  Students at Camp Five will eat lunch as CMMS. They will have the four choices that the middle school students have.
 
Lunch on Monday begins at 1:30
Lunch on Tuesday-Friday begins at 1:15
 
The prices for lunch are the same as for elementary lunch.  
Regular Lunch - $2.75 | Reduced Lunch - $0.40
 
Q: My student needs to add lunch money to his/her account. Where do they take the money?
A: Please take the money to the cafeteria staff at your home elementary school. They will add it to your account.

Q: Where is the counselor’s office?
A: The counselor for Camp Five will use Room 9, her office and will be working in your child's classroom as well.
 
Q: If my child receives Special Education services, where will they receive those services?
A: Your child will receive his/her Special Education services at their home elementary school.
 
Q: Where will my student use the restroom?
A: The students will use the restrooms located in the new gym. There are also restrooms inside the building on the way to room 9 and by the cafeteria, they will have access to when in those locations.
 
Q: If my student needs to have or take medications during the school day, where do we bring them?
A: All medications and orders need to be brought to the student’s home school and checked in with the staff.
 
Q: My student has an epi-pen, how will staff have access to that if we check medication in at the home school?
A: Emergency medications will be carried by a designated staff member from the home elementary school to the Camp 5 Campus. This same thing will happen at the end of the day.
