Attendance (Remote Learners)

In partnering with you in the education of your child, Moses Lake School District expects students to show their “attendance” by engaging with the learning activities their teacher provides within 24 hours of those learning activities being posted in Google Classroom. This posting will happen each school day no later than 9:00 am.

A student who has not shown their engagement within 24 hours will be marked absent in Skyward by the teacher. A student engages with their learning activities by doing any of the following:

  • Daily log-ins to learning management systems (ie, Google Classroom)
  • Daily interactions with staff to acknowledge attendance (ie. emails or instant messages)
  • Evidence of participation in tasks or assignments
  • Student participation in class meetings

Thank you for your continued support in the education of your children.

If you have a student in K-5 who will not be able to participate in his or her remote learning for a day, a parent or legal guardian will need to report the absence:
