Welcome - Teaching and Learning
The Teaching and Learning Department at the Moses Lake School District is led by Executive Director Kristi Hofheins and Assistant Director Jean Sawyer. The staff includes eight instructional coaches which support staff and students in literacy, maths, technology, AVID, Special Education, GLAD, TPEP, English learners and our new and future teachers.
What do we do?
We are mentors focused on providing YOU support. There are three main roles we fill.
Shares vital information about policies and procedures, learning and learners, curriculum, content, standards and effective practices.
Provides shared analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and reflection. The reciprocal nature of collaboration supports mutual learning, mutual growth, and mutual respect.
Supports a colleague’s thinking, problem-solving and goal clarification. The goal is to guide colleagues in accessing internal resources and developing capacities for self-directed learning.
