Congratulations to the Moses Lake School District Project Manager Brian Sewell! Brian is the second recipient of the Moses Lake School District “Tokens of Success” Award for achieving and continuing to meet the district strategic goal of effectively managing resources through system-wide efficiency.
Brian has been involved with the renovation of the new Learning Services Center providing oversight to contractors while focusing on implementing system-wide efficiencies. A few examples of this include LED lighting, occupancy sensors and a natural light system that can modulate energy usage building-wide. Not only did Brian assist in the overall construction of the LSC building, but the project also finished ahead of schedule, and well as under the projected budget.
The Moses Lake School District set two strategic goals this year, with one developing system-wide efficiencies resulting in a reduction of 5 percent of general fund expenditures. Through the development of system-wide efficiencies, we will effectively manage our human, fiscal, legal, and professional learning resources.
Brian stated, “I have and continue to represent the District’s interest throughout this project. Combining the District’s service buildings will provide collective collaboration opportunities. ”
