Middle Schools begin temporary REMOTE learning

Dear On-Campus and Blended Learner Parents,

Effective Monday, November 16th, all three middle schools in the Moses Lake School District (Chief Moses, Endeavor, and Frontier) will temporarily shift to fully remote learning through November 27th, returning November 30th.

We understand the concern and frustrations this emergency change will raise with many students and parents. As much as have worked diligently to help create a healthy and safe learning environment, unfortunately, a recent spike in positive cases of COVID-19 linked to exposures outside of our schools has left us short-staffed.

While these cases have specifically impacted staffing at the middle school level, we will continue to monitor and assess COVID levels at all schools throughout the district, including the elementary schools and Moses Lake High School in the coming weeks and adapt as necessary.

Although we believe that children need to be in schools for optimal learning, we are confident in our teachers’ ability to deliver quality education during this remote time period and expect students to be engaged in learning each day.

Conferences & Schedules

CHIEF MOSES (On-Campus and Blended Learner schedule):

FRONTIER (On-Campus and Blended Learner schedule):

ENDEAVOR (On-Campus and Blended Learner schedule):

Please check your communication channels regularly for more information from your school.

Additionally, conferences will remain unaffected and will continue to be remote. If special arrangements were made, please verify your appointment with your teacher to confirm the conference process.

We will continue to provide free meals for all children in a grab-and-go fashion. You may pick up free to-go packs at your school between 11am–12pm.

Stay Healthy

We want to keep our students and staff safe and healthy so that we can remain in school. To avoid future closures, and to protect yourself and others, we must work together as a community to follow the basic guidelines to prevent COVID-19, including maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet away from people from outside your own household, wearing a mask in public, Washing hands regularly, and not to host or attend large gatherings.
