MLSD Welcomes Assistant Superintendent


Moses Lake, Washington– The Moses Lake School District is pleased to announce Carol Lewis as the new Assistant Superintendent.

Mrs. Lewis brings 15 years of administrative experience and nearly 26 years of experience in education. She has been serving as the Director of State and Federal Programs, Data, and Assessment in the Cheney School District for the past five years. Prior to that, she was the principal of Betz Elementary (Cheney), the District Coordinator for Curriculum and Assessment (Cheney), Adjunct Instructor (Eastern WA University, Whitworth University), and Instructional Coach and Middle School Teacher (Cheney). 

Mrs. Lewis has a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction, administrative licensure from Eastern Washington University, and is currently pursuing superintendent credentials from Washington State University, Pullman. 

“Carol will be a wonderful leader for our district,” says superintendent Monty Sabin. “Her set of core values align perfectly with our district vision, and we feel that she couldn’t be a better fit for our next Assistant Superintendent.”

Mrs. Lewis and her husband will soon reside in Moses Lake. Together they enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
