Thank you for your patience and understanding as we manage temporary bus closures due to insufficient staffing. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration the recent closures may have caused.
Please know that canceling bus routes is always a last resort. We exhaust all available options before making such a decision and we understand the impact this has on families and student learning.
In response to feedback from previous years, we prioritized notifying the families affected by the bus closures. However, we understand the need to expand our communication efforts to include all families who may be indirectly impacted.
Going forward, if a bus route is canceled, all families at the school in which the route services will receive notifications via email, text, and ParentSquare app (if downloaded). The notice will also be shared on social media and the district website. Users with landlines will receive an automated call. Parents may also call the transportation office directly at 509.766.2676.
