Superintendent’s Report

She spoke about the importance of building strong connections throughout the district and expressed confidence in the capable leaders who are advancing key teaching and learning and safety and well-being initiatives.
Superintendent Lewis also discussed the importance of “passing the baton” to district teams and committees engaged in professional learning communities, facilities planning, and financial oversight.
An update was provided on the Tony St. Onge Pool at Moses Lake High School, which had to be closed Thursday due to an HVAC system failure. Repairs will require the use of a crane and are expected to take approximately one week. As a result, MLHS athletics was working to relocate a swim meet scheduled for this weekend.
Additionally, Superintendent Lewis highlighted a Board and Executive Team Work Study Session scheduled for March 2, focused on training and professional development.
