SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE
Moses Lake is an extraordinary community in which to live, work, and raise a family. I am proud to serve as superintendent of the Moses Lake School District in support of the students and staff of our school district.
Several years ago, members of our community came together to define what we want for our students and for Moses Lake as a whole. That collaboration resulted in a strategic plan centered on our obligation to ensure every student achieves, believes, and contributes as a compassionate citizen.
As superintendent, my responsibility is to ensure our work remains aligned to the four pillars of that plan. Each day, our decisions are guided by the following questions:
- Are our students and staff safe?
- Are our students learning and growing?
- Are we supporting and valuing our employees?
- Are we managing taxpayer resources responsibly and in partnership with our community?
I believe that every student and every staff member brings unique strengths and potential. This belief guides how we think about instruction, support, and opportunity across our schools, and how we set high expectations while recognizing that students may demonstrate learning in different ways. This idea is reflected in a quote often attributed to Albert Einstein:
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Our goal as a school district is to create environments where individual strengths are recognized and developed—so that together we build a strong, unified, and thriving community.
Thank you for your partnership and continued support of the Moses Lake School District.
