The Moses Lake School District Board of Directors met on February 19, 2026, to conduct regular business in support of district operations, student achievement, and strategic priorities.

Reports & Presentations
The reports highlighted continued alignment with the district’s four strategic pillars: Teaching & Learning, Safety & Well-Being, Investing in People, and Collaborating Together.

Consent Agenda

The Board approved the consent agenda, including:

  • Personnel recommendations

  • Financial reports 

  • Student Travel Requests, including Gear Up, FBLA, MLHS Sports Medicine, State Wrestling and more

  • Routine contracts or agreements

(Consent items are considered routine business and approved in a single motion.)

Action Items

The Board heard information on new business items, including:

  • Policy 2320 – Student Travel and Outdoor Education (The Board requested that Policy 2320 be held over for a 2nd reading at the March 5, 2026 meeting.)

  • Policy 6220 – Bid or Request for Proposal Requirements (The Board took action approving the review of Policy 6220.)

Public Comment

Community members addressed the Board, via written submission, regarding:

  • Groff repair work

  • Kindergarten & 1st grade instructional hours

  • Her continued focus on conneting with staff and students

  • Upcoming Work Study Session with the Board on March 2nd.

Executive Director Reports

The Board received presentations on:

  • Teaching & Learning

    • School Improvement Planning, presented by Voni Walker, Executive Director of Teaching & Learning and Robin Kimbro, Principal at Sage Point Elementary School

  • Employee Services

    • Michelle Musso, Executive Director of Employee Services reviewed the district’s complaint process

  • Safety & Well-Being

    • Discussion on the planning around the reunification site process at our schools
